Welcome! My name is Chesirae. I believe  that divinity is reflected in diversity, and that we are all called to sainthood. I don’t think it’s a mistake that when Jesus was resurrected, he was mistaken for a gardener and a common traveler to Emmaus. He reflected back to others the diversity of the human condition, always coming as a stranger, teaching us that – if we want to encounter God in this world, we need to look beyond what we expect, and walk lovingly beside the Other.

Whether at Dell Children's Hospital as a chaplain, in the classroom of a classical charter school, or ministering in an Episcopal church, I've spent a lot of time walking with strangers who eventually become dear friends.

Right now, my walking has led me to All Saints' Episcopal Church in Phoenix, AZ. I create art, curriculum, essays and sermons to encourage adults and youth on their walk toward God, and always with gentle humor and compassion.
